CICSC Membership

Governance resources, templates, legislative tracking, webinars, and certification pathways — designed for volunteer board members at every stage of service.

Why CICSC Membership Exists

Volunteer board members govern significant financial and operational responsibilities — often without formal training, institutional support, or access to quality governance resources.

CICSC membership exists to close that gap. Not as a gated paywall, but as a structured support system: beginning with free public resources, expanding with a free member account, and deepening with premium tools for board leaders who want comprehensive support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a free account really free?

Yes. Creating a free CICSC member account costs nothing. You get access to additional templates, checklists, and the monthly newsletter without providing payment information.

What does Premium Membership include?

Premium membership provides full access to the resource library, complete template vault, legislative tracker, case law vault, webinar archive, downloadable tools, budget planning workbook, and certification pathways.

Is there a difference between the membership tiers for board members?

Yes. Board Member Access is designed for individual volunteer board members. Credentialed Member is for CIC-BOS certified board members seeking ongoing professional development. Community Leadership is an association-level membership for full boards.

Do I need a paid membership to access governance resources?

No. Many foundational resources — articles, state law overviews, FAQs — are publicly available without any account. A free account unlocks templates, checklists, and the newsletter. Premium membership provides full access to the complete library.

Can I cancel my premium membership?

Yes. Premium memberships can be cancelled at any time. Access continues through the end of your paid billing period.

Does CICSC provide legal advice?

No. CICSC resources are educational in nature and do not constitute legal advice. Board members and associations should consult qualified legal counsel for matters requiring legal interpretation or advice.
